Auditions for Lead Roles and Chorus in
Auburn Dance Academy's
June Production

Open to all dancers Age 5 through 18 
Open to singers, dancers, and actors  
Casting for: The Little Mermaid, High School Musical, and a Tribute to Michael Jackson
  
Details:
  • Rehearsals are outlined on our Events Calendar listed as Christmas Character Rehearsal.
  • All dancers may not be required to attend all outlined Christmas Character rehearsals.
  • There is a one time $20 rehearsal fee for each role a dancers receives.
  • Audition Results will be posted online no later than wednesday at 10pm after auditions.

 

Silver Spurs

Silver Spurs is a Country Western Revue featuring singings, dancing comedy and more! A featured stage show at A Victorian Country Christmas, Silver Spurs bring audiences to their feet with contemporary country music and loads of family fun.
 
3 Female and 3 Male dancers are being hired for this production.

Rehearsals and Shows:
Rehearsals will be held from 12:00-3:00 at ADA on Sunday October 4,1,18,25 and November 1,8,15,22 and 29.
A Victorian Country Christmas is held Wednesday through Sunday December 2-6, 2009 at the Western Washington Fairgrounds.
Dress rehearsal is Tuesday December 1 from 6-9 at the Fairgrounds.

Compensation:
Performers receive up to $600 for their position in Silver Spurs. Costumes are provided at no charge. Anyone Associated with ADA is welcome to try-out. In some cases male dancers have been hired outside of ADA due to requirements of the positions offered.

Requirements:
Female dancers should be able to do up to four turns, fuetes, splits two ways, a front and back walk over and leaps.
Male dancers should have rhythm, some dance ability and the ability to lift a partner. 

The Singing Nativity

The Singing Nativity is the cornerstone of all entertainment at A Victorian Country Christmas. This Majestic production features 100 performers and offers audiences that best of new Christmas anthems and classic carols. The Christmas story is the highlight of this stage show. Sponsored by KCMS/KCIS The Singing Nativity is the most well attended stage show during A Victorian Country Christmas.
 
Volunteers to perform in the Singing Nativity at A Victorian Country Christmas will receive tickets and a badge. Free parking is available.
Auburn Dance Academy performers have an opportunity to try-out for the following roles:

Mary, Joseph, angels, townspeople, singing children's choir, as well as speaking roles.
Most costumes are provided.
Rehearsals vary and are often integrated with existing class schedules and Xtreme practice. Anyone associated with ADA is welcome to try-out.
 
Dress rehearsal will be held at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup on Monday November 30 from 6-9.

Momentum


Momentum is a unique assembly and concert program featuring music, dance and a message. Inspiring personal life stories are interwoven with the latest music and the hottest dance styles to create a concert with a message. Momentum provides educational motivational assembly programs to middle and high school audiences as well as programs for conferences and special events. The cast of this production are paid up to $100 per performance, but the range of pay varies from $50-100.
 
Cast positions currently open include: female speaker/singers, female and male dancers, and male speaker/singer.
