General Production Preparation


Upcoming Rehearsals

During the month of June, there are two all cast rehearsals scheduled on the Saturdays leading up to the show. There is a $2.00 per child/ per class charge for these rehearsals.
There are also Special Character Rehearsals Saturday mornings in June. Please check the white boards in the Information Center regularly. 

 
All Cast Rehearsals-  Saturday, June 12th and 19th

During the week of June 21st  regular classes are not held on Monday, June 21st or Tuesday, June 22nd. Additional rehearsals may be called for either of these two days. Check the white board at the ADA information center after each rehearsal on June 20th to see if your class is scheduled for an extra rehearsal.

Parent Volunteers


  • Parent volunteers are needed for Pre Ballet/Tap Classes, levels 1-3 classes, Stage Runners, and Dressing Room Managers. The show cannot go on without backstage help! Please sign up at the Information Center counter if you are interested in helping.
  • Volunteers will need to be present for both Dress Rehearsal and the Production.
  • If you are volunteering you will not be able to watch the show from the audience. You will need to stay backstage the whole time. However, we may have a closed circuit TV so you can see the entire show. You will be able to watch your dancer perform from the wings (the side of the stage.)
  • All volunteers will receive one complimentary ticket for the Production.
  • Parent volunteer meeting is on Monday, May 10th @6:15pm in the Faculty Lounge. It is important that all volunteers attend in order to receive their free ticket to the show.

Ticket Information

  • Ticket pre- sale day is Saturday, May 8th 6:00am
  • Please do not line up before 5:30am
  • There will be a limit of 25 tickets per person per show.
  •  Staff will purchase tickets the Thursday before Ticket day. A section of seats will not be available for purchase by staff.
  • There is reserved seating for the show.
  • Tickets are $13 on pre-sale day (May 8th only)
  • Tickets are $15 after May 8th.
  • There are no returns or exchanges. No exceptions.
  • You must have a ticket to re-enter theater.
  • Children over the age of 5 must have their own seat. Children 5 and under do not need a ticket if they are sitting on someones lap. 
  • Cash and check only on pre sale ticket day.

Miscellaneous
  • This is a semi- formal event so consider dressing up for your dancer's big night!
  • Refreshments will be sold at the Dress rehearsal as well as at the Production by the Xtreme Parents Association.

Showtime

  • Showtime is at 7:00pm
  • All dancers should arrive @ 6:15pm and report to the Dressing Room Manager at the door of the main dressing room with costume, hair and makeup complete.
  • Please have dancers use the restroom before they check-in.

Pre Ballet/Tap

  • Parents may drop off  their dancer with the Dressing Room Manager between 6:30pm and 6:45pm.
  •  All Pre Ballet and Tap students will be in a separate dressing room with their age group. Each student will also receive a Goodie Bag with a snack and activity to keep them busy backstage.
  • You may pick up your dancer at intermission in the main dressing room BACK DOOR. They may watch the remainder of the show sitting on your lap. They do not need a ticket.
  • Pre Ballet/ Tap students do not participate in curtain call.

Production Policy:

  • No flash photography.
  • Video cameras are not allowed for the June Show. You will be asked to leave the theater if you violate the above mention camera policies.  
  • No food or beverages inside the theater.
  • Any child over the age of five must have his or her own ticket and seat.
  • All students level one through seven must stay backstage in the designated areas (there will be a live feed TV to view the show).  Dancers in Levels 1-7 are in the Curtain Call at the end of the show.
  • Only authorized personnel will be permitted in the dressing rooms.
  • If you must take your child early, please inquire about a Production Early Release form at the Front Desk. All Production Early Release forms must be turned into the front desk before dress rehearsal for security reasons.
  • All clients must have a zero balance on their account in order for their child to perform. Only cashiers checks, cash, and Money Orders will be the acceptable form of payment after June 20th.
