- Hair
With the exception of Hip Hop and characters classes, dancer's hair must be parted on the right and
slicked into a bun on the back of the head (not the top). Secure with a black hair net and bobby pins. No hair pieces or bun
covers that are not a part of your costume.
Hip Hop Dancers may
wear their hair in any style. Please think about quick changes. A bun is acceptable for Hip Hop hair. You may want to get
a hair extension piece in order to change hair quickly.
Create a clean bun in your dancer's hair. Your instructor will be leading a quick demo during
the last 5-10 minutes of their classes (Pre Ballet/Tap Through level 3). This will
happen the week of May 9th 2010. Bring gel, hairspray, fine
tooth combo, rubber bands and bobby pins and/ or hair claws so you can practice with the instructor.
Tights/Leotards Bloch brand.
Auburn Dance Academy sells the correct brand of tights for your convenience.
If your class is required to wear a leotard for the Christmas Show, please choose a camisole
or tank style leotard.
Body Glitter/
Rhinestones
- Body Glitter and rhinestones for hair and shoes are
acceptable for everyone.
