Auburn Dance Academy's, Michael Furnstahl Singing Success

 The Bonney Lake Stars on Stage Competition is open to all ages (there are no age categories for this competition) and is sponsored by the Bonney Lake Parks Department. Singers try-out to be in the competition then compete in two rounds of semi-finals. The semi-finalists compete against each other in the finals competition. Michael won the first semi-finals round on Wednesday August 13, 2008. Michael competed in the finals on August 27^th and won the grand prize of $150. The semi-finals and finals competition took place at Allen York Park. The winners were chosen by ballot by the audience. The audience was comprised of community members from Bonney Lake that gather in the park to see concerts each Wednesday night in August.

Michael was also a finalist in Puyallup Idol competition. Puyallup Idol too place at the South Hill Mall and was sponsored by Silver Fox entertainment, South Hill Mall and Champion Center Church. Michael competed against contestants in his age category of 14-19. He was chosen as a finalist. He was the youngest and only male in his category as a finalist. He did not win the competition, but as a finalist was asked to sing at the Puyallup Fair. Puyallup Idol was judged by three individuals from Champion Center.
