Administrative Policies
o
Accepted Payment Methods
§ Fees must
be paid by auto debit with a debit or credit card. Fees will be debited monthly from the card you provide
the first day of each month from September through June. Charge will appear on your bank or credit card statement as being
from Auburn Dance Academy. Incidental
purchases such as show tickets, dancewear, shoes etc, can be purchased at ADA boutique.
We no longer accept checks.
§ You may pre-pay on your account at anytime.
§
If you prefer, you can pay all
fees for the entire season up front By credit card, debit card, or money order.
o
Refunds and Missed Classes
§ There are no tuition refunds due to absence, however your child has the option to
attend a similar class to make up the absence. Please inquire at the front desk for assistance.
§
There are no refunds on tuition,
dancewear, shoes, or costuming.
§ Monthly tuition is divided into equal payments for lessons received for a full
9-month dance session (September - June), not on lessons per month. Payments remain the same each month regardless of
attendance, school closures, or holidays).
§
Clients must have a zero account
balance in order to participate in the Holiday or June productions.
o Attendance
§ If you want your child to progress, good attendance is very important. Each
dance level has a certain curriculum; excessive absences put a dancer behind his or her class. Please contact the studio if
your child will be absent due to illness or other commitments.
o Withdrawing From Class
§ If you wish to withdraw from lessons, you must do so with our online withdawal
form 30 days in advance. Your account will be debited until proper withdrawal form is turned in and the full procedure is
followed.
o
Holidays and Vacation
§ In the event of snow, call the studio to verify that classes
are in session. A message will be recorded on the voice-mail.
§ Auburn Dance Academy will be closed the following days:
· Labor Day.
· Halloween.
·
Thanksgiving Break.
· From the Holiday Production until the First business day
after New Years Day.
·
Memorial Day Weekend.
· The 2 weeks following the June Production.
· The 2 weeks following the last day of summer session.
o Studio Rental
§ Studio room rental for room one, two, or three:

$25.00 per hour
§
Studio room rental for room
four:

$20.00 per
hour
§
Full studio Rental:
· $100.00 per hour
o Late
Parents
§ If you are more than 20 minutes late to pick up your student, you can expect
a $1 per minute charge on your account for time over 20 mins. You will receive one warning in
writing before the charge is added to your account.
o
Private Lessons
§
You may schedule private lessons
with any of the Auburn Dance Academy instructors.
· Private lesson fees are paid directly to the instructor
upon scheduling the lesson. Fees may vary.
· 24 hours notice must be given for a full refund. 50% refund if you
fail to cancel with 24 hour notice.
o Dance
Etiquette
§ Dancers are encouraged to be at class fully dressed and on time. If you are
late, students are still encouraged to come to class. Please wait in the viewing window for the instructor to wave you into
class.
§
Inside the classroom there will
be no talking while the instructor is teaching.
§ The phrase “I can’t” will not be tolerated and may result
in push-ups.
§
At the end of class students
and teacher will bow and clap. This is traditionally done in dance class to symbolize the students thanking the teacher for
his/her instruction and the teacher to thank the students for a job well done.

o Xtreme Dance Team
§ Xtreme is the elite competition team at Auburn
Dance Academy. Xtreme Team has been nationally recognized for excellence
in Lyrical, Tap, Jazz and Choreography. These talented students/choreographers are dedicated to improving their skills and
abilities through local and national competitions. Xtreme Team members are accepted by audition. Please see the
Xtreme Dance Policy for Specific information.
o Scholarships
§ Auburn Dance Academy
offers annual scholarships. Xtreme members
are eligible. If you would like more information, complete our online application.
o Productions
§ Auburn Dance Academy holds two magical shows per year. Please see the production
portion of this website.
o
Assistant Teaching Program
§ Larger classes will have a student assistant teacher to ensure individual attention
to each dancer. These assistants are also learning valuable teaching skills under an experienced instructors
guidance. Please apply for ADA’s assistant teaching program by Completing the online
application.

Achievement
certificates are presented to the students who deserves to advance to the next level.
§ Standout Student Awards are presented at the June production. ADA staff chooses up to 7 students to receive this award. Students who exemplify
timeliness, attendance, dress code, a positive attitude, determination and a considerable advancement in their level of dance
are considered for this award
§
Dancer of the Year is the highest
ADA honor and will be presented on stage at the end of the June production.
§
Leadership award is presented
to a student who possesses notable leadership skills.
§ Star Success Program
· The Star Program is Auburn Dance Academy’s method of ensuring our students are 100% on track
with competitive skill level in conjunction with their age.
